Visual Communications
AIU's Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications (offered at our Plantation campus) is designed to educate and to develop artistic and imaginative students for careers in the fields of commercial art and design. Emphasis is placed on the development of the thinking process and the ability to solve design problems creatively. Students can learn the principles, practical applications and methodologies used in completing competent and creative design solutions.
Fashion Marketing and Design
AIU's Bachelor's degree in Fashion Marketing and Design (offered at our Plantation campus) is designed to educate and motivate students to become innovative, creative, responsible, highly skilled and ethical professionals capable of entering the fashion industry in a variety of roles. The Fashion Marketing and Design program enables the student to couple the advertising, marketing and retailing knowledge of fashion marketing with the creativity of fashion design. Courses range from fashion textiles, fashion sketching, principles of retailing to fabrics and retail buying.
Interior Design
AIU's Bachelor's degree in Interior Design can prepare its students to practice as professional interior designers who are qualified by education, experience, and examination to enhance the function and quality of interior spaces. Hands-on training in relatively small classrooms aids students in developing interior design skills and knowledge in the fundamentals such as drafting, resources and materials, color, lighting, building systems and codes, detailing, residential design and commercial design. In addition, through a variety of electives and internship opportunities, students have the ability to track particular interest to suit their career goals. The curriculum is designed to balance the practical and theoretical aspects of career preparation in order to provide the interior design community with graduates that have the skills and knowledge to enter the professional field immediately.
